This was an ad made by bodyshop. But Barbie INC. found out about it and now it’s banned. Reblog if you think this ad deserves to be seen.

dont-touch-yourself:

I’m sick of seeing posts saying to reblog all these pictures sick people to prove we care.
Every day, there is a tragic post and a picture of a little girl dying of AIDS or a dog with a missing tongue and a melted eye.  Every single one of them ends by telling us to stop reblogging pictures of women in bikinis and reblog their posts if we care, but why?  Life isn’t as simple as clicking a reblog button if you care about something, and just because we don’t reblog does not mean we don’t care.
Above is a picture of Kylie Minogue, an Australian pop star who was diagnosed with cancer in 2005.  Even after surviving her struggle, she still manages to look fabulous, exuding sex appeal, but says that her battle with cancer will never be over.  Despite her physical condition after recovering her illness, the psychological affect of it is still strong.
People wonder why a picture of a scene kid in shorts and a tank top gets more notes than a picture of a cancer patient in the hospital.  It’s because a picture of a scene kid in shorts and a tank top is not imposing on anyone and is not asking for pity and notes to show that people care.  Would it make a difference if the scene kid had Leukemia?
There is beauty in everyone and everything.  If we only recognize beauty in certain things, what’s the point of noticing beauty at all?  When you tell others to stop posting pictures of what they want to post it doesn’t make you any better of a person and it doesn’t show that you care.  It just shows you want to make others feel bad about their lives and what they enjoy.
I’m not going to ask people to reblog this post, because it really doesn’t matter to me how many notes this gets.  Notes mean nothing.  You can call me a bad person for voicing how I feel, but don’t complain when people do the same thing to you if you do.  I’m posting this because I care.

three-unforgivable-curses:

Rose: Look, I know what you must be thinking: “Poor little rich girl. What does she know about misery?”
Jack: No, no that’s not what I was thinking. I was thinking was what could have happened to this girl to make her think she had no way out.
Rose: Well, it was everything. It was my whole world and all the people in it. And inertia of my life plunging ahead, and me, powerless to stop it.
Jack: God, look at that thing. You would have gone straight to the bottom.
